Medieval Baldric: This sturdy baldric is designed to be worn over the shoulder, across the chest. The adjustable frog allows it to hold a wide variety of swords, from broadswords to rapiers. The baldric was first used as a means to carry a sword, but later evolved into a civilian device made of cloth with a bag attached at the end rather than a sword. This later become the sash and still later, the cummerbund. For many centuries, if you didn't have a baldric, you just weren't fully dressed. Weight: 1 lb. Item #OL-300 Ships in 5-7 days.

Back Scabbard: The Back Scabbard, also called a Back Baldric, is designed to handle two-handed longswords, such as the claymore or bastard sword. The adjustable scabbard can handle swords up to 41". Short swords can also utilize this form of baldric by mounting their scabbard to the back scabbard. Our Back Scabbard is constructed of heavy strap leather. The design and weight allows a sword to be drawn with the scabbard in place. Accommodates chest sizes up to 48" It is available in either Black (shown), or a dark chocolate brown.
