A perfect addition to your sword or rapier, a dagger often served as a
main utensil and secondary fighting tool. There are several daggers on our website
which are not listed on this page. Please see our Rapiers pages for Main Gauches.
The daggers below are sold semi-sharp unless otherwise noted, and all come with
matching sheaths included.

English Dagger: This beautiful
dagger is patterned after an early medieval English dagger. You can see the Viking
influence in the design. The brass pommel and decorated guard match the red wire
wrapped handle to make an eye-catching dagger. A classic double-edged blade design
with triple fuller finishes the look. Fit for a Prince. Item #AH-3254

Crusader Dagger: Dating from the
12th century, this dagger has a strong Norman influence. The handle is squared
rather than round or oblong. Combined with the wire-wrapped finish, this gave the
dagger a very sure grip. Includes mathing scabbard with brass fittings. Item

Italian Stiletto:
Our Stiletto replicates a late 17th century piece from a private collection. Designed
exclusively as a thrusting weapon, the stiletto was widespread in the period when
upper-class civilian dress often incorporated mail or leather body armour. The triangular
section 9-1/2 blade is complemented by a polished genuine buffalo horn grip, with
the pommel and guard finials in the form of spirally carved pine cones. A silver-mounted
leather-covered sheath is provided. Stilettos used a triangular shaped blade because this shape left an irregular wound which does not heal effectively or quickly. This increased the likelihood of infection leading to a slow and painful death for the victim. Politics were not much different in the Renaissance, but the consequences were often deadly. Renaissance Court Dagger:
This 17th century Renaissance Ring Dagger is believed to be of Italian origin. This
style of dagger, which doubled as a main gauche in rapier duels, was often exquisitely
decorated, as in the case of these pieces. A chiseled pommel and guard compliment the
wire-wrapped grip with its turks-head knots. The 10 ¼ blade is beautifully
pierced and fullered in the same pattern as the original. A black leather scabbard, with
decorated fittings to match the dagger, is included. Item

Roman Pugio:
Our Roman Dagger, or Pugio, replicates an original that survives in remarkably good
condition in a European musuem. The classic broad, waisted blade is ridged and fullered
for stiffness and lightness, and the full-width tang matches the profile of the grip. The
grip and scabbard, like the original, are decorated in a silver on black niello style. A
perfect piece for the Roman persona. Item
